Salesforce Engineer (On-site) POST NUMBER: 429945
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Salesforce Engineer to join our team on a transformational journey. This exciting, hands-on role will help realign critical business processes at a company that has fully embraced the Salesforce platform. Leveraging over 16 core Salesforce components, including Sales, Service, Field Service, CPQ, Marketing, Commerce, and Communities clouds, this position is essential in building and implementing enterprise features in Salesforce CPQ and Billing.
This is an on-site role based in Charlotte, NC, Monday through Friday.
Essential Functions:
- Act as a technical owner and subject matter expert for Salesforce CPQ, Billing, and Order Management.
- Meet with business and IT teams to identify gaps and design solutions, leveraging declarative rules, process automation, and other Salesforce tools.
- Lead the implementation of Revenue Cloud, Order Management, and CPQ features to maintain Billing and Order Management functionality.
- Support CPQ enhancements across various business processes, including Sales, Field Operations, Accounting, and Payroll.
- Create and maintain automation tools like Flows for various business lines.
- Collaborate with key business partners and cross-functional teams to ideate and deliver a Billing and Order Management roadmap.
- Work with IT teammates to ensure a cohesive Salesforce ecosystem.
- Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, validation rules, and workflow automation.
- Stay updated on Salesforce platform developments, utilizing new features as they become available.
- Foster a DevOps culture, emphasizing ownership across development, promotion, and operation of code.
- Advise business and technology leaders on improving processes and ROI using Salesforce.
- Evaluate and install Salesforce AppExchange components and solutions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- 3 years of advanced experience with CPQ Price Rules, Product Rules, Approval Rules, and Summary variables, including QCP JavaScript.
- 2 years of experience with Salesforce Revenue Cloud, including Billing and Order Management.
- Strong experience in complex Salesforce solution designs and architecture.
- Knowledge of Salesforce sharing, platform limits, order of execution, and data storage impacts.
- Configuration experience with Flows and Salesforce Lightning UI.
- Experience with SQL to Salesforce integrations and data patterns.
- Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences, from executives to technical teams.
- Innovative, collaborative, and results-driven mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of Salesforce experience with declarative solutions.
- Salesforce certifications in CPQ and Experience Cloud are desired.
