Job Description

Looking for Maintenance Supervisor for our client in Milwaukee. This is a 2nd shift, Sunday thru Thursday position. Qualified candidates will need to have refrigeration experience and certified (CARO and CIRO).

Essential Job Functions
  • Responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and operating the complete cold storage facility system
  • Provide a safe environment, prevent equipment downtime and avoid potential ammonia releases
  • Conduct regular inspections of the ammonia system and report equipment/item in need of maintenance
  • Responsible for operational set points, control points and daily events related to hazardous materials and refrigeration
  • Promote continuous improvement
  • Service, repair, regulate and test machines, devices, mechanisms and equipment that operates primarily based on mechanical principles
  • Service, fix, regulate, fine-tune or test machines and equipment that operate primarily based on electrical or electronic principles
  • Possess general maintenance information and capability to properly repair and maintain all equipment and the facility
  • Collaborate with management to decide root causes for maintenance needs and recommend changes in procedure/training
  • Grow a preventative maintenance environment that protects company assets and avoids reactionary crisis management
  • Complete routine maintenance and decide when and what kind of maintenance is needed
  • Encourage safe work habits and a safe work environment
  • Keep track of expenses linked to the operation and maintenance of the ammonia system
  • Generate and keep a library of blueprints, operating manuals, proper operating procedures and other data for accurate information
  • Manage the process safety management (PSM) and risk management programs (RMP)
  • Train junior ammonia technicians and help develop them
  • Responsible for supervising and coaching direct reports along with completing performance reviews

Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 4 years in ammonia maintenance
  • Excellent mechanical skills
  • Experience with process controls and electrical fields
  • Must have high knowledge in ammonia refrigeration operation/maintenance
  • Have completed Operator I, II, & III training
  • CARO and CIRO certified
