Job Description

One of Nashville's largest employers is looking for a senior business analyst to join their team! This will be a contract to hire position and will sit onsite.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

Essential Functions: which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.

  • Exhibit good understanding of the business domain and of business goals
  • Apply strong facilitation, communication, analytic and conflict management skills
  • Lead user interviews and capture comprehensive, actionable notes from interactions
  • Create Agile requirement artifacts (User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, etc.) from the inputs gained from team interactions
  • Conduct advanced process and data flow analysis; recommend future state business process improvements
  • Clarify any ambiguity in business requirements and process flows to ensure sufficient understanding by the technical team
  • Lead Agile User Story Prioritization, Ranking and Backlog Grooming sessions
  • Identify business engagement meeting points (e.g. interviews/workshops)
  • Create draft presentations
  • Participate in project estimating activities (as needed)
  • Provide clarity regarding business objectives and functional requirements during release and sprint iteration planning
  • Track and report weekly status updates
  • Determine MVP User Stories, working with Business Owners and Representatives
  • Create Personas and Use Cases (as needed)
  • Define User experience requirements / UI/UX wireframes
  • Triage bugs and or defects discovered by QA during testing
  • Participate in sprint demos and retrospectives
  • Create User Guides and other training documentation
  • Assist in user training sessions
  • Participate in product launch, training and project closeout activities
