DevOps Engineer
6 month contract to hire
65/hr
Nashville, TN

Client is an Azure environment, not AWS. If you only have AWS they are still interested as long as you are willing to work in Azure.

Client wants all candidates to approach operations from a developer's mind set, such as source control for infrastructure, so even if you haven't done a lot of development in the past, they would be willing to work with you/train you. Otherwise, they will want you to come in with:
Deep understanding of Docker containers and orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes.
Strong development skills with .Net Core, Node, Go, Python, or Ruby.
Experience with network protocols, firewalls and associated technologies.
Experience with SQL

DUTIES (included but not limited to)

  • Lead the architecture, design and development of front-end and backend-end applications
  • Take an active role in feature definition and analysis
  • Produce high quality code that conforms to design and functional requirements
  • Provide support to other development engineers, QA personnel, product management in areas of expertise
  • Mentor other software engineers
  • Present information on projects, initiatives or other subjects to peers and upper management
  • Code review software changes made by peers

  • Familiarity with source code control systems such as git
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies as well as software planning and estimation techniques is highly desirable
  • Experience with Analytics/Reporting applications is a plus
  • Experience with HL7 or other healthcare integration is a plus
