Job Description

This person should be an expert in HTML / CSS / Javascript with a design mentality. They should consider themselves a front-end specialist. They must have a portfolio showcasing their work. We're looking for a senior level individual, an expert in their field, solid communicator, and a quick learner. The ability to think critically and work with the UX team will be crucial to success. They should have time management skills and be self-motivated. Being able to build and accomplish their own task list is ideal. This person will be adding a skillset to a team, so confidence is required, but the ability to take and incorporate feedback from the team is key.

Experience in React would be helpful as we have a Java shop using React for front end development. Any familiarity with the tools, frameworks, and libraries mentioned below are also a plus.

  • Build/minification tool: Webpack
  • Polyfills/Transpilation: Babel
  • SPA Framework: React
  • JS utils: lodash
  • Layout: TailwindCSS as dictated by Expand The Room
  • CSS: Emotion (CSS-in-js that babel compiles into component level namespaced css)
  • Theming: Emotion-theming (React context + hook for injecting css theme) or TailwindCSS
  • Theme contents: Colors, Typography, Default Padding/Spacing, Breakpoints, Other globals
  • DateTime: date-fns
  • React-Hook-Forms
  • Yup for input validations
