Job Description

One of our clients in the Charlotte, NC area is looking to hire several Data Analysts and Data Engineers for a new team! They're building out a MDM Center of Excellence. These roles do not require direct experience with Master Data Management, but it would be a huge plus (they'll teach anyone without MDM experience). We need candidates that have experience related to data profiling, data modeling, data governance, data analysis, etc. Must have SQL experience and some kind of exposure to Python (even if you're just learning it on your own).

  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Strong knowledge of databases, SQL, programming (Python)
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical/data science packages for analyzing datasets
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Adept at queries, visualization and presenting findings
  • Experience working in an agile team
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, accountability, and project management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a demanding, fast-paced environment and to work under tight time constraints and meet deadlines.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques
  • Analyze and manage master data across multiple domains such as Customer, Product, Consumer
  • Analyze and manage 3rd Party and other external data sets
  • Leverage data science skills to automate data management
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
  • Acquire data, profile and clean in collaboration with data stewards
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
  • Define and implement data quality rules
  • Proactively analyze data to increase quality as it relates to accuracy, completeness, consistency, integrity, timeliness, conformity, and validity.
  • Communicate and present to internal associates and external parties
