About the Opportunity?

Review of the accounting for many of the property level non controllable expenses such as utilities, property taxes, volume rebates, and other such expenses deemed the responsibility of shared services.

Ensuring processing of property taxes and utilities are completed accurately and on a timely basis.

Review and ensure all electronic data transfers between accounting systems within Shared Services accountabilities are processed timely and accurately.

Timely communication of financial results, including variance analysis and reconciliation of accounts under the responsibility of Shared Services, developing reports that meet the needs of internal/external customers.

Working with Corporate Accounting, assists with quarterly reviews and annual audits as it relates to Shared Service areas.

Assisting the management team with review of property level budgets and forecasts relating to non-controllable expenses.

Provide support to the Director Operations Finance in maintaining relationships with various external consultants including property tax advisors and utility consultants and appeal tracking. ?

Provide support in the completion of regulatory filings, such as property tax appeals, and ensure filings are done within the deadlines.

About You?
-
3 years full cycle Accounting experience, ideally from a large company
-
CPA in progress
-
Strong excel and data analytical skills
-
Strong knowledge of IFRS and Canadian GAAP (required)

Public company experience (preferred)

Extensive experience in critical thinking and analytical skills
Salary Range?
$85,000 - $90,000/year?
