Job Description

Vaco Tampa is currently hiring an Account Executive to work for a software integrator servicing the education industry. The Account Executive will be responsible for developing the small college territory.

The core mission of the Account Executive - Small College sector is to maximize company's reputation and revenue within this educational segment of the market. Responsible for building and executing on a plan that integrates both market opportunity and competitive threats; the successful contributor in this role will build and grow trusted relationships with customers and internal staff to support Company goals. Effectively build a pipeline of $5M+ in sales opportunities and close on at least $1.5M in new sales on an annual basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and secure initial discussions with new accounts.
  • Follow up on leads generated through Company marketing activities
  • Qualify opportunities and build sales pipeline
  • Present and demonstrate strategic solutions to potential clients in a knowledgeable and compelling way
  • Stay up-to-date on product capabilities, enhancements and road maps
  • Participate in marketing and conference planning activities
  • Communicate with product team on prospect/market needs and trends in territory
  • Update and maintain accuracy of Salesforce information

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline desired.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven relationship-based, consultative software sales, preferably experience in higher education technology, with strong record of success in exceeding quota
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Educational Software
