Account Manager

Our client in Tampa, FL is looking for an Account Manager who can provide consultative, operational and administrative services to their clients, including developing and maintaining close professional relationships, ensuring that clients receive the highest quality service/support from the company, and retaining and expanding a current book of business. The Account Manager will assist in the development of the software through feedback, testing, and practical use/evaluation. Candidates must have experience in the healthcare industry, specifically Medicare Advantage Health Plans.


  • Develop and grow a close professional relationship with assigned clients
  • Generate account plan/set-up of new clients
  • Manage and/or oversee project implementations through project life cycle
  • Train clients and employees in the use of IPA, MSO, and HealthPlan software via remote and onsite training.
  • Understand contractual obligations and manage client expectations
  • Conduct regular off- or on-site business review meetings with clients
  • Maintain awareness of all internal and external client activity
  • Identify and respond to all requests/issues from clients professionally and promptly to ensure client confidence
  • Act as Advocate/Liaison between client, internal operations and external trading partners
  • Help internal departments with enhancements, QA, sales training, train a trainer, etc
  • Support sales staff (demos and sales calls)


  • Working knowledge of the Healthcare industry, specifically Managed Care Health Plans.
  • Front-end services, claims & administration and/or web-systems experience
  • Account management or client service experience
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and manage client expectations.
  • Travel as needed - local and domestic.
  • Project management skills

  • Self-learner, with the ability to easily learn new software programs.

  • Intermediate level MS Office skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint


Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years' healthcare experience working with IPA, MSO or HealthPlan.
