As a Accounting Analyst, you will play an integral role in accurately preparing our client's accounting records and performance. You will be responsible for a variety of general accounting functions as well as providing accounting support for senior staff if needed.

Accounting Analyst responsibilities:

  • Identify and help implement process improvements
  • Participate in and spearhead special projects on ad hoc basis (expected frequently)
  • Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts as assigned
  • Research P&L and balance sheet variances and prepare explanations
  • Assist with the monthly financial reporting package and the annual audit
  • Communicate with management regarding the financial close, issues and deliverables
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years relevant experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP
  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong research, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong data mining, tool usage (e.g., graphing) and modeling skills
  • Advanced Excel skills (ODBC queries, pivot tables, macros, advanced formulas)
