Title: Accounting Coordinator

Job Description:

Under general supervision, this position accurately performs a variety of general accounting functions, which may include payroll and/or purchasing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Verifying and processing accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
  • Reconciling general ledger accounts
  • Preparing tax forms
  • Generating reports
  • Interacts with internal management and external vendors or clients.
  • Responsible for resolving discrepancies, handling inquiries and communicating actions to appropriate individuals

Education and Experience:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in a general accounting position including billing, accounts payable, general ledger entries, account reconciliation
  • Experience with Lawson, or any other financial software, like Peachtree

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Understanding of accounting principles
  • Highly organized with ability to multi-task
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well with others
  • Experience in use of Microsoft Applications, proficient in Excel
