Job Description

Are you an experienced accounting professional looking to advance your career and take on a new challenge? Vaco is conducting a search for an Accounting Manager to join one of our clients in the Clearwater area.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
  • Manages the month and quarter end close process
  • Oversees the cash cycle, A/P and A/R
  • Assists with daily banking needs
  • Assists with credit and collections process
  • Oversees the payroll process
  • Collaborates with the finance team to support overall department goals
  • Responds to inquiries from executives, and other managers regarding financial results, and any special reporting requests
  • Assist in development and implementation of new procedures to enhance the workflow of the department.
  • Assist with special projects and workflow process improvements.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Public accounting and CPA is preferred
  • Prior experience in a supervisory role
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, and ERP system
