Job Description Accounting Manager

  • Oversee the day-to-day Personnel accounting activities of the team in the following key areas: Bonus Analysis, Deferred Compensation Reporting, Severance, Personnel Cash Forecasting and Analysis and other general personnel accounting matters
  • Timely review, sign off and resolution of reconciling items of the associated balance sheet reconciliations
  • Lead the team in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
  • Assist CFR in understanding or resolution of any open cashflow related questions stemming from accounts within the scope of your responsibility
  • Review, research complex entries and supporting documentation
  • Evaluate the completeness and accuracy of analyses impacting the personnel accounts
  • Coordinate personnel related flux explanations with various Finance segments and Accounting Senior Management team
  • Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for process reengineering
  • Develop staff to facilitate future growth and promotions within the organization
  • Lead special projects and proactively develop accurate adhoc analyses for management to make informed decisions
  • Ensure proper internal controls are in place and all transactions are recorded timely and accurately in accordance with GAAP and established SOX requirements and procedures
  • Build, foster, and maintain good working relationships with members of the Accounting organization and stakeholders
  • Other Adhoc assignments as his deemed necessary by upper management

Qualification Requirement

  • 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Master's degree and/or CPA is preferred
  • 5+ years in relevant accounting experience (industry or public), plus personnel accounting experience
  • Preferred individual with experience in leading team
  • Great communication skills as this individual will be coordinating with customers both domestically and internationally
