Vaco is in search of an Accounting Manager with experience in the Professional Services sector for an immediate long-term consulting opportunity.

Requirements for this Role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Strong (5+ years) supervisory experience
  • CPA with a blend of public/private preferred
  • Big 4 experience ideal
  • Experience developing and managing Staff Accountants
  • Experience within the Professional Services industries desired

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and train staff of 4-5 accounting professionals
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of month/year end closing, in compliance with US GAAP.
  • Maintain general ledger and ensure proper support for account reconciliations.
  • Review journal entries and supporting documents.
  • Manage financial reporting, consolidations, and supporting schedules.
  • Implement and document policies and procedures.
  • Analyze month end financials and variances to budget, forecasts and prior year.
