Job Description
Our client in the Costa Mesa area is currently seeking a full time Accounting Manager to join their organization that has experience with food/beverage/spirits/or restaurant industry experience.The Accounting Manager will perform the month-end close accounting, assist with financial reporting, identify and implement operational best practices, and perform margin and ad-hoc analysis.
Job Duties May Include:
- Manage month end closing activities
- Book and review all journal entries and accruals
- Ensure account balances are properly reconciled and analyzed on a monthly basis; resolve discrepancies as needed
- Assist with monthly reporting package including financial statements, executive summary and relevant financial and operational metrics of the business performance
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and ad-hoc analysis
- Provide comprehensive analytical and reporting support, identifying opportunities to impact operational/financial results, make changes to processes, and support strategic initiatives
- Review AP invoices and calculate weekly cash funding needs
- In conjunction with AP and AR, ensure any open items are addressed and resolved in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required with a minimum of four to five (4-5) years of experience in Accounting
- Strong GAAP knowledge required; CPA license a plus
- Industry experience in food/beverage/spirits accounting and finance required
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced working environment, prioritize and plan work activities efficiently to meet deadlines, and work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
