As an Accouting Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the monthly accounting, general ledger analysis, budgeting and financial reporting for the entity. This involves evaluating existing reporting business processes and communicating to management areas of improvement. The position will report directly to the VP of Finance, manage a small team and work closely with many others around the company.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Lead month-end close activities for entity including overseeing all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Preparing and interpreting key statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flow.
  • Works closely with VP of Finance to insure all international activity and intercompany balances are effectively reconciled monthly
  • Managing all treasury and cash management functions, including collections, cash applications, lockbox, ACH, credit card processing, chargebacks, NSF's, and customer refunds.
  • Preparing updated company budgets and proforma cash projections.
  • Monitoring and accounting for capital expenditures, fixed asset additions, retirements, and depreciation.
  • Researching and recommending proper accounting treatment on new/proposed accounting standards.
  • Serving as liaison with independent auditors during annual audit, mid-year review, and interim procedures.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or related field. CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of accounting, financial reporting and financial analysis experience
  • Strong technical accounting, cash management and budgeting skills
  • Experience working with ERP General Ledger systems
  • Strong understanding of accounting processes and ability to recommend and implement improvements
  • Prior management experience preferred
