A Westside healthcare provider is currently in search of a dedicated Accounting Manager to the CFO and CEO in leading the corporate accounting department. The ideal Accounting Manager will have at least four years of experience and strong knowledge of GAAP.

What you need for this Accounting Manager role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, plus four to six years related experience
  • CPA preferred; good understanding of U.S. GAAP and general financial concepts
  • Tech savvy
  • Experience with Intacct preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel required, plus working knowledge of other Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong analytical and multi-tasking skills, excellent problem solving skills, attention to detail and follow through

What you will be doing in this Accounting Manager role - You will:

  • Responsible for the monthly and quarterly closing process. This includes the preparation and posting of journal entries, and maintaining general ledger account analyses while verifying, reconciling and resolving discrepancies and documenting business transactions.
  • Directly supervise and evaluate performance of staff accountants. Provide direction and guidance in work assignments and ensure the timely and accurate completion of tasks, while maintaining exceptional standards of excellence.
  • Work closely with Controller to ensure proper recording and reporting of monthly results.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting schedules for internal and external reporting purposes.
  • Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
  • Makes recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures.
  • Assist in process change, improvements, and new system integrations.
  • Assist in providing information to external auditors.
  • Communicate with team members from other areas of the company as well as external sources.
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
