Our client, located near West Windsor, NJ is adding a Accounting Manager to the team.

In this role the ideal candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Manage a small accounting team which includes reviewing, assisting and general supervisor responsibilities
  • Preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP, including balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows, and statement of retained earnings, and related notes to the financial statements, for external reporting purposes
  • Monitor the monthly close process of the assigned group including journal entries, account analysis, flux reporting and other assigned projects
  • Technical accounting research including outlining the company's accounting position
  • This position will require "hands on" work, this includes recording journal entries, compiling account analysis and drafting financial statement and notes
  • Prepare documentation in support of annual audits and interface with external auditors
  • Understand and comply with the company's system of internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
  • Occasional travel required

Requirements for the position include:

  • Minimum 6 years accounting experience
  • Exceptional knowledge in preparation of GAAP financial statements
  • CPA and/or big four experience preferred
  • Public accounting with focus on Audit or power industry experience preferred
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, Hyperion, and Microsoft Office Suite skills,
  • Financial statement closing and reporting experience required
  • Experience with technical accounting research, compiling memo, Financial statement closing and reporting required.
