Are you an Accounting Manager with public and private experience? Vaco has an immediate opportunity with a large Property Development organization in Culver City and we want to hear from you!

What you need for this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a top-tier university
  • Strong (5+ years) management experience
  • Financial reporting and consolidations of multiple entities
  • CPA with blend of public/private desired
  • Big 4 experience ideal
  • Strong communication
  • Experience in property management, property development, real estate, construction or related field

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and train a team of 3-5 Staff Accountants.
  • Manage day-to-day processes of general accounting and month end closing functions (Balance Sheet, Balance Sheet Roll Forward, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows).
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of month/year end closing, in compliance with US GAAP.
  • Maintain general ledger and ensure proper support for account reconciliations.
  • Manage and implement account reconciliations process.
  • Manage financial reporting, consolidations, and supporting schedules and provide for external reporting purposes.
  • Create accounting policies and procedures or enhance existing ones.
  • Analyze month end financials and variances to budget, forecasts and prior year.
