Are you a CPA Accounting Manager with public and private experience? Vaco has an immediate contract opportunity with an exciting startup in Sherman Oaks!

What you need for this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent from a top-tier university
  • Strong (5+ years) supervisory experience
  • CPA preferred
  • Blend of public/private desired, Big 4 experience ideal
  • Ability to maintain confidential company information in the strictest of confidence.
  • Experience in a start-up or technology company a plus


  • Monitor and train staff.
  • Manage day-to-day processes of general accounting and month end closing functions (Balance Sheet, Balance Sheet Roll Forward, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows).
  • Maintain general ledger and ensure proper support for account reconciliations.
  • Manage financial reporting, consolidations, and supporting schedules
  • Implement and document policies and procedures
  • Analyze month end financials and variances to budget, forecasts and prior year.
