One of our growing healthcare practice clients is looking for mid-senior level Accounting help as they prepare for a pending aquisition (integration, financial reporting, consolidation etc.) in addition to helping on a potential recapitalization transaction. We are looking for an experienced, "hands on" Corporate Controller resource to help our client, which is located in Buckhead. Dynamics GP / Great Plains ERP system (experience with this ERP system) is a plus and the usage of a larger, more complex ERP system such as Oracle or SAP is required. Pay rate is targeted at $55-$60 per hour but can be negotiable depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the training and development of accounting staff
  • Produce monthly financial statements for management
  • Prepare, review, and approve journal entries and other month end work
  • Prepare and coordinate documentation for quarterly reviews and annual audits
  • Operations and Maintenance of ERP (Dynamics GP Fixed Assets)
  • Assist CFO in completion of accounting projects
  • Assist CFO with intergration of new company being acquired
  • Assist in preparation of the financial statement footnote disclosures
  • Prepare schedules as required (e.g., for annual property tax filings)
  • Review monthly sales tax returns and assist with sales tax audits
  • Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 10 plus years of accounting experience including at least 5 in a supervisory role
  • Prior Contractor/Consultant profile required
  • Public Accounting Experience a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics GP or Great Plains a plus; large ERP experience required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, in particular advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills
