Job Description

Our client, a manufacturing & distribution firm along the 15 corridor, is looking to hire an Accounting Speciliast on a permanent, fulltime basis. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting the Controller with all AR and AP duties related duties (including soft collections calls to customers), as well as learn to work within the general ledger and assist with month end.

This is a great opportunity for an individual who has managed transactional accounting tasks (primarily Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable) but is looking to find an opportunity that will grow into a Staff Accountant!


  • Produce, review and distribute all customer invoices
  • Collect, manage, and provide resolution of outstanding invoices from current and past due accounts
  • Working with operations to issue restock, add bill and product loaner invoices
  • Process credit card transactions, prepare bank deposits, and track incoming wires and ACHs
  • Stamp and code all incoming vendor invoices, then attach related purchase order, repair order and packing slip
  • Distribute vendor invoices for departmental approval, then enter the data into the accounting system
  • Post all company expense credit card transactions and compile supporting receipts
  • Working with Controller to execute AP check runs. Ensuring appropriate back-up is filed for each check issued
  • Maintaining each vendor file. Ensure that all bills are paid on time and no penalties accrue for late payments
  • Issuing 1099s, assisting in the preparation of year-end tax returns and the company's yearly financial audit
  • Administrative duties, from tradeshows and travel, to logistics, to simply helping our customers succeed

What you'll need:

  • BA or BS degree (preferred but not required)
  • Good understanding of QuickBooks, Salesforce and Excel
  • Payables, receivables, general ledger, billing, and order processing experience
  • History of self-motivation and exceptional drive
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • High level of organization skills and the ability to juggle multiple processes with minimal supervision
