Job Description

Well-established insurance company is seeking an accounts payable accountant to join their team! Ideally, we are seeking candidates with a minimum of 2+ years of AP experience, strong Excel skills and capability to grow into a Staff Accountant in the future.

Responsibilities include:

  • Accurately process a high volume of invoices
  • Perform match of PO, receiver and invoice
  • Distribute bills for approval or obtain approved purchase order documentation
  • Close and reconcile accounts payable for month-end.
  • Perform weekly check runs and file manual checks
  • Process 1099s
  • Comply with company rules and regulations and maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to achieve the goals and objectives of the department and company.
  • Identify improvements to AP processing

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of AP experience, or Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with relevant accounting internship experience required
  • Strong Excel skills (Pivot tables or VLOOKUP experience) required
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong work ethic
