Position Title:

Accounts Payable/Accounting Assistant


Houston, TX (River Oaks area)


The Accounts Payable/Accounting Assistant will support the Accounts Payable and Accounting processes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to processing, reviewing, and reconciling a variety of accounting documents such as invoices, journal entries and cash receipts/disbursements. The candidate will utilize various spreadsheets and automated systems including the accounting system, Solomon/Microsoft Dynamics SL.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Processing invoices
  • Performing monthly close activities including cash reconciliations
  • Managing RBF's daily cash summary
  • Reconciling POs against invoices
  • Managing electronic documents in the accounting system
  • Weekly Check processing
  • Tax Exempt monitoring
  • Manage new vendor setups
  • Prepare Wires/ACH payments
  • Manage all vendor inquiries
  • Manage new customer setups
  • Annual 1099 processing

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or Business related degree required
  • 2-3 years experience in an accounting related role required
  • Intermediate use of Microsoft Excel
  • Previous experience with ERP accounting systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics/Solomon
