Our client, located in the Bronx, NY is adding a Accounts Payable Associate to the team.

In this role the ideal candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Process vendor invoices after reviewing and coding as well as analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries
  • Verifying entries and comparing to balance reports.
  • Preparing checks to pay employees after verifying expense reports.
  • Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and recording transactions.
  • Review and process credit card bills.
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements.
  • Enter new or updated vendor names and data into system.

Requirements for the position include:

  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • 2 years of accounts payables experience
  • Understanding of general accounting principles, standards and compliance requirements
  • Proficient with MS Office programs including strong excel skills.
