Vaco is assisting a nationally known Aliso Viejo-based company recruit for a new Accounts Payable Clerk opening. This is a contract opportunity, in a fast-paced setting, for a very busy, very particular person. As an AP Clerk, the candidate will provide accounting support involving accounts payable, journal entries and invoice processing. Responsibilities include:

  • Review and verify invoices and check requests
  • Sort, code and match invoices scan invoice and upload them
  • Enter and upload invoices into system prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
  • Maintain vendor files correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
  • Produce monthly reports assist with month end closing provide supporting documentation for audits deposit special jobs.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of AP experience OR Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with internship experience
  • Major ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Great Plains, etc.) preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong work ethic
