Job Description

As an Accounts Payable Coordinator, you will compile data, compute fees and charges, and prepare invoices for billing purposes.

Additional responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk include:

  • Process invoices from multiple vendors and reconciling purchasing orders to vendor invoices
  • Running daily PO reports to monitor statuses for purchase order closures or pending transmissions and send reminders
  • Monitor pending invoice approvals for processing to ensure payment of invoices in accordance with vendor terms
  • Prepare month end invoice and purchase order reports for distribution to departments in preparation for monthly accruals
  • Support operations by researching inquiries and advising solutions
  • Support general ledger by providing all requested transaction documentation and answering all inquiries
  • Prepare and submit vendor credit applications provided by operations
  • Process weekly check runs and prepare corresponding reconciliations

Education and Skill Set Required:

  • Understanding of accounting concepts and principles required
  • At least 1-2 years of accounts payable experience
  • Associates (or higher) Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience in QuickBooks or other accounting software highly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel (pivot tables and V LOOKUPs)
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task and work in high pressure as well as fast paced environment
  • Ability to work well and thrive in a team environment
