Job Description

Our manufacutring client in the Irvine area is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team for a potential temp-to-permanent engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full-cycle accounts payable, 3-way-match/purchase orders and experience working with SAP in a manufacturing environment.

As an Accounts Payable Specialist your typical day may involve:

  • Process PO into SAP system with detailed entry
  • Research missing invoices and accrue as needed
  • Reconcile purchase orders to AP invoices
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and disputes (late fees, etc.)
  • Monitor correctness of Vendor Master information and AP aging status
  • Ensure AP is processed in accordance of company policies
  • Process weekly payments to vendors (including employee reimbursements) by check, ACH, or wires
  • Provide payment status to vendor
  • Follow-up on outstanding checks

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related degree or equivalent work
  • 3-5 years of Accounts Payable/General Accounting experience
  • Well-organized and strong analytical skills
  • Experienced with with SAP is highly preferred
