Job Description

The Accounts Payable Associate primarily provides financial, administrative, and clerical support by ensuring payments are completed and expenses are controlled by processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner. In addition to the primary functions, the analyst will work with the accounting department to support all other expense-related accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

* Timely and accurate processing of expenses/invoices to the correct accounts and cost centers
* Ensure appropriate three-way matching in the system, researching and resolving discrepancies
* Coordinate AP processing with various departments and maintain records for account payables
* Prepare accounts payable aging report for weekly check disbursements and review check run proposal with the Controller
* Perform vendor statement reconciliations on a monthly basis and serve as subject matter expert for various account payable functions
* Respond to all vendor and employee inquiries regarding invoices, expenses, and check requests; resolves invoice discrepancies
* Administer and monitor expense reimbursements in according to corporate expense policy
* Process and record manual disbursements as needed
* Assist in data collection and reporting of sales & use tax
* Ensure organizational compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls
* Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
* Assist accounting teams on various projects and other general accounting and month-end close duties as assigned

Requirements
* Associates degree in accounting or equivalent professional experience.
* Work Experience: 3-5 years' AP experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* Organized personality with the ability to respond quickly to changing priorities.
* Highly effective verbal communication and listening skills.
* Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality on all corporate matters.
* Proficient use of AP system and MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Team-oriented.
* Ability to prioritize and work independently.

Job Requirements
