Job Description

The A/R Analyst is responsible for generating over 300 invoices per quarter, both domestic and global with a medium to high degree of complexity and generating the monthly revenue accruals. Main responsibilities include: preparation, processing, and reporting of monthly, quarterly and annual management fee invoices; programming account setup, resolution of client and Account Management inquiries, continuous support of billing system upgrades, and audit of data from various system sources.

Primary responsibilities/essential functions: (including the following, other duties may be assigned)

* Compute specialized management fee invoices using account portfolio market values and terms stated within the investment management contracts

* Compute complex performance fees using account portfolio market values, account returns and benchmark returns to the terms stated within the investment management contracts

* Participate in monthly closing activities including generation, analysis, and documentation of management fee accruals

* Review of investment level legal documents including review of performance fee schedule drafts, ensuring the drafts accurately depict the relevant calculations and related fees

* Effectively manage client queries by identifying, resolving and communicating (written and verbal) account issues in a clear, concise, accurate and timely manner

* Ensure data integrity through audit of systems against investment management contracts

* Perform complex management fee calculations and evaluate external calculations to assess accuracy and reasonability


* Minimum three years of experience in finance-oriented role dealing with investment companies (hedge funds/private equity funds) and/or related investment products

* Bachelor's degree in; Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related field

* Knowledge of US GAAP for hedge funds/private equity funds

* Advanced technical skills, specifically with MS Excel and Outlook

* Exceptional accounting and analytical skills and the ability to understand impact of operations on performance returns

* Experience independently reconciling discrepancies in fee calculations, and escalating to management when appropriate

* Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills as well as the ability to understand report generation and analysis

* Excellent written, listening, and verbal communication skills

* Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously and be flexible to daily changing priorities

* Analytical skills in areas of high complexity and ambiguity

* Successful working in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision

* Experience responding effectively to inquiries from various levels of management
