Job Description

Vaco has been engaged by a Houston company to identify a Professional Administrative Assistant.

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for performing a number of administrative duties; which include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities
* Managing office phones, front door access and shared office area
* Keeping records; photocopying, scanning, faxing, filing, and scheduling/calendaring
* Assisting with legal, compliance and tax matters
* Creating, editing and proofreading legal documents, memos and letters
* Building and submitting expense reports in accordance with company policies
* Composing, editing and formatting company documents
* Managing office services and related activities
* Provide back-up support to Assistants, when needed
* Additional responsibilities as needed

Qualifications and Skills
* Associate or Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
* Minimum of 2+ years of experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role
* Experience - in on of the following areas is a plus:
o Corporate Governance
o Entity Management
o Regulatory Compliance
* Superior English verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail
* Advanced computer skills (including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
* Prioritize conflicting needs - handle matters expeditiously, proactively and follow-through to successful completion
* Strong organization, project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities
* Ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion, particularly when handling confidential matters/material

Job Requirements

Person does not need accounting exposure- but would be nice Must know Microsoft Word, Excel, Office. (general basic functions), If they know Spectrum that is a plus but can easily be trained) Must be organized. Must be a self-starter, have good time management skills and be able to prioritize accordingly.
