Agile Coach

Our client is a data and technology company fostering on innovation, growth and collaboration. The fast-paced, team-driven environment provides the opportunity to work as a key contributor on high priority initiatives by developing new products, solutions and platforms, and supporting technology operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

We are seeking both Enterprise Coaches (higher level) and Team Coaches (lower level) Agile Coaches to help them to champion Agile across WI (Workplace Investing), Healthcare, and APS (Advanced Process Solutions)

Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Fostering and helping to facilitate, the self-management of teams
  • Partnering with multiple Scrum teams to advance Agile skills and improve results for the organization
  • Defining, documenting and proving hands-on training for all critical agile roles as well as the supporting tools that teams will use
  • Providing input for which toolset will best support operating needs
  • Providing hands-on Agile coaching to teams as well as product owners, Scrum Masters, managers and executives
  • Encouraging performing software development using Kanban, XP and other Agile methodologies as appropriate
  • Continuing to learn and implement industry best practices
  • Managing through influence, but without direct management authority
  • Using capabilities to influence customers and stakeholders, and properly manage divergent expectations

Here's what our ideal candidate has:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience, preferably in an engineering or technical arena
  • 4 + years of experience as a Scrum Master
  • Experience implementing and managing non-Scrum frameworks such as Kanban and XP
  • 2 + years of large and small scale Agile coaching experience
  • Hands on experience in at least 2 different Scrum environments/companies
  • Strong leadership qualities and organizational skills as well as the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, relationship building, collaboration and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, focus, and attention to detail are a must, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced, hectic, and energetic environment
  • Experience working across multiple time zones and getting results out of off-shore teams
