Job Description

Seeking an Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk to join an established real estate investment and management company in the Richmond area. This person will be responsible for performing accounting tasks, including reconciling statements and processing of payments.

The AP/AR Clerk will be responsible for communicating effectively and efficiently, maintaining organization in department, and managing the responsibilities of handling financial documents, finance, and accounting tasks.

Responsibilities include the following:
  • Data entry and review - posting invoices, vouchers, and payment requests
  • Resolving account related issues
  • Balancing statements and finalizing data
  • Processing accounts payable invoices and payment requests, and issuing reimbursement checks
  • Matching checks to invoices/payment requests after each check run cycle
  • Entering invoices; entering, posting, and reconciling batches
  • Researching and resolving payables issues with vendors
  • Prepping accounts for payments and verifying data in system
  • Additional responsibilities as needed

Preferred requirements:

  • 3+ years bookkeeping experience, preferably in real estate
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Experience working in QuickBooks and Yardi
