Are you experienced AP Manager who has supervised large teams? Do you have experience with implementing new procedures, processes, and systems? If so, then we are working on an AP Manager opportunity that could be a great way for you to kick off 2018!

A publicly traded manufacturer in the San Gabriel Valley is looking for an AP Manager to bring on board. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the AP Manager will lead a team of 7. Successful AP Manager candidates must have experience with full cycle, high volume invoice processing. Exposure to some GL accounting would be helpful as well. What do you need for this AP Manager role?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 7+ years of AP experience with at least 3+ years of supervisory experience
  • Experience working for a public company
  • Ideal experience will come from retail, manufacturing, distribution, or other high-volume AP environment

What will you do in this AP Manager role?

  • Oversee AP staff on policies, systems, procedures, training, and career planning
  • Creates process improvements to work assignments, methods, and procedures
  • Creates, measures, and examines KPIs, metrics, and AP department budget
  • Reviews invoice entries for proper coding and approval
  • Research issues with problem invoices and makes necessary corrective actions
  • Analyzes AP aging and payment requests
  • Coordinates verification of open receipts
  • Oversees the setup of new vendors
  • Establishes effective relationships throughout all internal departments
  • Month-end close for AP
  • Assist with system upgrades as needed
  • Examines voucher packages for accuracy
  • Responsible for P-Card and travel and expenses program development, administration, training, communication, and expansion
  • Compliance for 1099 filings in addition to other documents
