Role Summary

This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of specialized and analytical duties including but not limited to supporting applications, data reporting, managing all aspects data dashboards, and managing the reporting and informational components of annual reports. Responsibilities also include data collection (import/export), maintenance, and verification of requests, and reporting functions.

While under the general supervision of the Director of IT Applications, the incumbent will provide support to the initiatives of other directors by providing software and technical support to other departments.

QUALIFICATIONS

Training: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field

ITIL Certification preferred

Experience: Minimum of five years of technology experience

  • Proven and demonstrable leadership, decision making, and communication skills.

  • Skilled in Time Management, Organization, Presenting, and complex problem diagnostic and solving.
  • Knowledge of Mathematics or statistics.
  • Two years of experience supporting applications and websites on Microsoft Windows OS and IIS.
  • Experience in Data Governance and Data Analytics.
  • Two years of experience with Database Technologies: SQL, MS SQL Server, and Oracle.
  • Two years of experience with Reporting Software: SRSS and Cognos experience preferred.
  • Experience developing reporting and informational Dashboards.
  • Experience with VersaTran, OnScreen, MyStop, Lexmark preferred, PowerSchool preferred.
  • Competent using Office Technology Tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
  • Maintains accurate records.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will have the following job responsibilities:

  • Support, update, patch, configure, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and customize applications.
  • Integrate applications with other compan applications and technologies.
  • Document support processes and procedures.
  • Build and support websites, dashboards, online forms, and data tables.
  • Gather, aggregate, and manage data, and translate data into useful, readily understood reporting systems to provide quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
    • Develop reports utilizing data and information and provide interpretation of the data or information in an appropriate manner for and collaboratively with specific audiences.
    • Create spreadsheets, databases, and reports as needed.
    • Maintain data verification and integrity software, programs, and routines.
    • Complete student data and information requests, both routine and ad hoc.
  • Research and fix data issues and errors.
  • Work with all stakeholders and affected parties to resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide collaborative guidance to stakeholders on error resolution.
  • Work with network administrator to identify Student Information System (SIS) needs for accurate data communication/share, resolve errors that fatal communication.
  • Understand and implement data governance processes.
  • Provide operational and administrative support to other departments:
    • Effectively communicate by engaging in positive public relations with students, school personnel, and community members.
    • Use sound judgment in advising parents, guardians, students, school employees, and community members on all related responsibilities.
    • Represent department at meetings and conferences.
    • Create communications, correspondence, memos, and other similar items.
    • Set up and maintain office procedures and incorporate new procedures and new technology into established workload.
    • Provide backup support to other staff.
  • Provide training, guidance, and documentation to support users.
  • Engage in continuous improvement of all aspects of responsibilities.
  • Evaluate and pilot future technology solutions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
