Update 10-3-20 (our growing healthcare services client has a need for a new area practice administrator with targeted salary of $90K - $110K based on experience)

The Area Practice Manager / Administrator is responsible for directing, supervising, and coordinating all staff and activities at our client's offices located in the Georgia area. This important role focuses on Physician relations and provides leadership for site coordinators and all clinical and front office staff at each of our client's 8 area locations. This is an area role and reports to our client's COO.


  • Manages daily operations at 8 area offices (mostly ITP Atlanta) and coordinates the daily work activities and schedules.
  • Ensures provisions of safe, high-quality patient care by the staff.
  • Evaluates performance and recommends merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensures that office space, supplies, equipment, and assistance are provided and maintained appropriately for medical staff and patient care.
  • Responsible for Physician relations; ensuring that the Physicians working at our sites and clinics feel part of the business and decision-making process; bring together voices from all constituents including physicians for the common goals of delivering a great patient experience in a supportive, productive and profitable practice environment.
  • Communicates and coordinates with HR including payroll, orientation of staff and delivery of employee handbook and policies. Oversees payroll in accordance with company policy. Follows disciplinary process in accordance with HR policy and procedures.
  • Ensures that all business and clinical functions are running smoothly, and all processes are effectively and efficiently in place.
  • Reviews processes and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Develops goals for site operations and ensures that these goals align with our client's organization goals.
  • Operates within the context of an established budget. Makes recommendations for annual budget and maximizes opportunities to meet and exceed budget guidelines.
  • Maintains regular communication and provides updates as needed or requested to Revenue Cycle Manager, Clinical Manager and Chief Operations Officer
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field is required, with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration preferred. Critical thinking and analytical skills a must.
  • 2+ years of experience in practice management of multiple locations. Effective working knowledge of healthcare financial management, medical practice accounting, third party reimbursement issues, patient flow and facilities management. General knowledge of physician compensation models and contract terminology.
  • Prior experience working in a clinical capacity is a plus.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency required.
