Job Description

Our Client is currently looking to add an Assistant Product Manager to their Product/Category Management team. Applicants should be tech savvy, organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task. The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Magento. This position will work closely with the category management team and external vendors on the setup and maintenance of items - including product attributes, descriptions, and imagery. Organizational skills are very important as the Assistant Category Manager will be maintaining items that are sold through various channels - eCommerce, Brick and Mortar, and Commercial.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with assortment (including new item setup & maintenance), pricing strategy, etc.
  • Assist with forecasting and achieving weekly and period category sales goals, profit dollars, growth objectives
  • Provide support to the Category Manager for proofing print advertisements and other collateral
  • Communicate with external vendors in relation to new item setup, item features and benefits, and image requests
  • Assist with category and competitor research
  • Ability to research/investigate invoicing discrepancies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability respond to changing conditions in a retail marketplace
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines on an ongoing basis
  • Team player who can work with a variety of people at various levels throughout the company
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
