Position Summary:

The Director position within Vaco Resources is responsible for hiring, managing Vaco project professional talent.

Professionals that excel in this role: Professionals with 5+ years working in contract accounting/finance placement ready to get promoted to the next level, Big 4 professionals interested in business but would rather put together the team for an audit then perform one, professionals with accounting/finance backgrounds that want to close the books or analytics as a hobby.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Hiring of professionals for project, interim, contract‐to‐ hire positions within senior‐level accounting, finance, human resources, project management, supply chain and logistics, and ERP expertise.
  • Performs interviews in‐person, by phone, and/or web to assess suitability to positions.
  • Manage Vaco professionals on projects, Quality assurance updates, and ongoing employee reviews.
  • Host professional events throughout the year.
  • Maintains regular communication with candidates during and outside of the hiring process.
    • Develops a strong network of talent to increase referrals, leads, and ability to successfully fill positions.
    • Markets open positions via job postings, social media, networking events, and other methods.
    • Performs reference and background checks while managing applicant data within Bullhorn.
    • Presents qualified talent for open positions while also marketing candidates to the client manager.
    • Generates and shares leads from interviews with Client Managers.
    • Collaborates with other divisions to fill other positions when appropriate.
    • New business strategies to advance the practice

Technical Skills:

  • Must have working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Data analysis and reporting
  • Experience with Bullhorn preferred.

Basic Skills:

Able to work with a sense of urgency and meet tight deadlines; Organized, detailed, and results‐ driven. Must be able to manage time effectively and work independently without direct supervision.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required. CPA, MBA, CMA or related designation preferred but not required.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in audit, tax, and/or public accounting OR directly relevant experience required.
