Associate, Sales Business Development, Vaco Financial with prior staffing experience as an EXCITING CAREER OPPORTUNITY for a Big 4 with outstanding, communication skills with advanced experience in accounting, finance and operations.

Position Summary:

The Associate Sales Business Development position within our Vaco Financial practice will be responsible for new business development, strategic account and relationship management. The successful candidate will engage all appropriate levels of management to develop opportunities to increase and expand our client base and scope of services with both existing accounts and new prospects.

This individual works directly with Vaco team members and recruiters so good communication and teamwork is a must.

The Associate manages job requisition activity, client interaction and provides special additional support where required. As an integral part of the Vaco team, the Associate is at the "front of spear" seeking out and developing long term business relationships with senior-level decision makers.

Our ideal Associate candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, pace and intensity, and an aptitude for long-term relationship building. Pedigree in finance and accounting - such as a CPA, MBA, or senior-level background in finance or accounting is highly desirable.

Job Responsibilities

  • Sourcing and screening of potential IT candidates for contract, contract-to-hire and permanent openings with our clients
  • Learn and understand all of Vaco Technologies' service offerings
  • Analyze candidate information to determine matches between candidates and job openings. Submit qualified candidates to open job requirements
  • Interview prospective candidates and educate candidates on company process
  • Update and track candidates in accordance to Vaco Technologies' standards
  • Responsible for processing and contacting qualified candidates who respond to Vaco Technologies via phone, email or web
  • Establish relationships with consultants/contractors in specified region(s) or with specified clients
  • Track job orders and initiate recruitment for new roles paying close attention to high priority situations
  • Coordinate or conduct screening activities (e.g., drug screens, reference checks)
  • Responsible for increasing number of qualified applicants in database
  • Refer job order leads and hiring manager names to Account Managers
  • Be familiar with industry trends, including client, market and unemployment conditions
  • Be fully educated on account processes & policies to ensure 100% contract compliance
  • Track/communicate new technology trends
  • Strategize with team members; assist and backup absent colleagues
  • Attend training sessions, including those where active participation is expected
  • Meet or exceed weekly sales goal expectations

Basic Skills:

Able to work with a sense of urgency and meet tight deadlines; Organized, detailed, and results‐ driven. Must be able to manage time effectively and work independently without direct supervision. Ability to build lasting relationships built on honesty and integrity.


  • Bachelor's degree required. CPA, MBA, CMA or related designation preferred but not required.
  • Five (5) years of experience as Business Development in the Staffing Industry experience required.
  • Experience with Bullhorn preferred.
