Our Client a well established CPA firm in the Nassau County NY area is currently seeking an Audit Managerr for their team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gain a thorough understanding of the firm's audit approach, methodology and tools
  • Assist in designing the audit approach for clients
  • Identify accounting issues under U.S GAA; perform research to solve issues
  • Supervise audit engagements and monitor the work of audit staff, keeping managers informed of the engagement status
  • Draft the audit summary memoranda, the management letter, and the presentation of key discussion points for the closing meeting with the management
  • Develop and maintain relationships with client personnel to obtain a better understanding of business operations, processes and functions
  • Stay informed of current economic developments relevant to each client's business and industry
  • Manage staff performance, conduct timely performance reviews, and provide performance feedback

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years of recent experience as an auditor with a quality CPA firm
  • Experience Leading an Audit and Supervising Staff
  • Excellent computer skills and accounting software
  • CPA Certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Motivated to meet client deadlines and provide first-rate client service
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the accounting field.
