As an Azure Architect you will architect and implement solutions to remedy complicated application challenges around performance, database scaling/sharding, and data transformation.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing production software issues
  • Developing monitoring solutions
  • Performing software maintenance and configuration
  • Implementing the fix for internally developed code (Perl, Ruby, C/C++, Java)
  • Performing SQL queries, updating, tracking, and resolving technical challenges
  • Updating/enhancing current software, automation of support processes, and documentation of system
  • The consultant must know Microsoft Azure from application standpoint. They must be able to say to "size the application like this" and recommend what production/implementation should look like.

  • Needs to know how to promote code from development to test to production.
  • Strong communication skills are a must!
  • Application architecture in azure.
  • The client doesn't have an application development team and they are going to Microsoft - the team is not familiar with this
  • CI/CD - Continuous improvement and continuous deployment
