Job Description

Vaco has an immediate opening for a Collections Specialist (B2B) to work for a large, Birmingham-based company, headquartered in Shelby County. Our client is a growing company with a flexible and family-friendly environment. The Collections Specialist is the "face of the company" and will work closely with their largest accounts.


  • Review weekly A/R aging and conduct collection calls on delinquent accounts
  • Print and mail monthly past due notices to past due accounts
  • Coordinate with outside collection agency to resolve uncollectible accounts
  • Report weekly on collected past due accounts
  • Print and mail monthly statements to all customers
  • Prepare and distribute monthly High Risk Account reports
  • Assist with incoming A/R phone calls on an as needed basis
  • Assist with external audits through A/R record retrieval and process demonstration for auditors


  • 4+ years of proven, prior A/R Follow Up experience in a business-to-business setting
  • EXCELLENT communication skills, both oral and written are required
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word and Excel a must


  • Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree preferred however applicable experience will be strongly considered
