Job Description

Position Summary:
The Business Analyst has responsibility for the success of project implementations, including transition to customer support as well as overall internal and external client satisfaction. The Business Analyst is responsible for the software development life cycle, including: client requirements gathering, design specifications, testing of client applications, client support, training and systems integration.

Essential Responsibilities:
* Support Client Services in ensuring the success factors of each project are met in the areas of change control, issue and risk escalation, and overall client satisfaction
* Ensure deliverable quality
* Act as subject matter expert on product knowledge
* Work with client/implementation teams to understand and document detailed business and functional application requirements
* Develop detailed functional design for developer, QA and implementation teams to leverage
* Partner with Dev Lead to monitor development of client applications to ensure adherence to requirement and design specifications
* Work with QA staff to review test plans and strategies to ensure compliance with specification and quality end results
* Develop training documentation and be able to lead training sessions specific to a client's installation
* Lead the formal transition to production and project knowledge to the dedicated customer support resource
* Provide remote and on-site support and provide follow-up regarding all issues/requirements
* Support Client Services in the development and delivery of weekly project status reports

* A BS/BA Degree or equivalent work experience
* 6-9 years of Business Analyst experience with software integration and/or implementation, preferably with a software services or consulting organization
* 2+ years of prior product management experience

Skills/Experience Required:
* Experience leading software implementations
* Understanding of the software development life cycle
* External client facing skills (consulting)
* Customer management skills for administration, resolving issues and building customer relationships
* Written, verbal communication, listening and problem-solving skills
* Responds strongly and positively to challenging work and deadlines
* Works as an integral part of a talented team in a fast-paced, proactive environment
* Prior insurance experience a plus
* Experience using Atlassian/JIRA system a plus
