Summary: Responsibilities:

Benefits Specialist - Leave Administration:

Primary Responsibilities:
* Responsible for updating employees' job records and absence records in Peoplesoft related to Leave Activity.
- Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered. Locate and correct data entry errors.
* Handle Employee Service Center (ESC) employee cases
* Understanding of the FMLA and state leave regulations.

Skills:
* Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
* Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information.
* Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

Possible Secondary Responsibilities:
* Create employee benefit premium invoices for employees on a Leave of Absence (LOA), also provide reports of premium collection activities and account status for corporate accounting on a biweekly basis.
* Post and reconcile employee benefit premium payments to the LOA payment module. Research and resolve all billing reconciliation discrepancies.
* Coordinate the mailing of premium invoices.
* Maintain accurate account records by coding and posting payments to appropriate employee accounts. Verify the accuracy of amounts received are in compliance with the LOA employee benefit premium collections policy and procedures.
* Maintains privacy of health related information in accordance with the health privacy regulations published in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
