Vaco Richmond works with the top businesses in Richmond. One of our best clients is seeking someone to join their growing HR team. The ideal person may have more experience in one facet than the other.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responding to payroll and/or benefits'related questions and escalating those questions to other team members
  • Data entry, maintaining accurate information in HRIS system, i.e. new hires, life events, pay changes, terminations
  • Process multi-state payrolls, as needed
  • Complete employment verifications, unemployment claims, requests for information related to payroll, benefits, and employment data
  • Manage monthly benefit billing
  • Utilize expert level Excel capabilities to conduct regular benefit audits
  • Support annual Open Enrollment and off cycle intial Enrollment
  • Provide project/admin support as needed
  • Partner with various team members to complete ad hoc projects


  • Bachelor's degree from 4-year college or university
  • 3 years' experience managing payroll and benefits processes, 5+ years preferred
