Job Responsibilities
Billing Operations Manager:

SUMMARY: Billing operations manager for our satellite internet business. Assist the Billing Systems Manager and Director as the *go to- person for the Finance team in day-to-day billing system operations. Coordinate operations with peer business units including, IT, CARE, Installer Relations, Marketing and Sales.

Manage initiatives to analyze complex business issues where system based solutions are required.

Manage the activities of a team that provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing billing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.

Act as the billing system subject matter expert on projects that support multi-functional efforts to provide system based solutions to address business issues and opportunities.

Manage application and database level security for the billing and shared file systems.

Ensure adherence with and the adequacy of all billing related policies and procedures such as Sarbanes-Oxley and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards.


    • 5+ years of experience in financial systems, accounting or IT
    • Experience using Alteryx and Tableau or ability to write basic SQL code to support ad hoc requests
    • Intermediate to Expert MS Excel skills (Pivot tables, vLookUps and related functions)
    • Strong organizational and documentation skills
    • Ability to manage multiple vendor relationships across multiple functional groups
    • Experience in agile methodology for the software development life cycle
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Flexibility in work schedule to support a 7 day per week operations
    • Ability to work comfortably within tight deadlines
    • Industry experience in Telco billing, payment, credit and collection systems
    • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Information Technology; or

BA / BS degree in other discipline and 2+ years' experience with large company billing systems, accounting or IT group

  • US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status
  • Ability to travel up to 10% including both international and domestic

    • Previous experience working with SOX and/or PCI compliant systems
    • Direct experience working with the following systems/vendors:

Salesforce, NetCracker, JIRA/Confluence, ReadyAPI, Workfront, Equifax, GIACT Systems, Adyen, First Data, Paymentech

  • Large volume retail communications billing process experience (100,000+ per month)
  • Experience working for a large, multi-division public company
  • Spanish or Portuguese language skills
