Job Description

About this position: Vaco has been engaged to identify an Accounting Manager for a Birmingham-based company. This person will report directly to the owner and will be solely responsible for all general accounting and record keeping functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, monthly closing, cash reporting and other various reports.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Cash management
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparing and entering journal entries
  • Generate financial packets and update budgets
  • Communicate with owners and executive management about financial results

Requirements:

  • A minimum of five years of accounting experience, degree preferred but not required
  • Extensive Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including rate calculations, invoicing, cash application and A/R follow up
  • Knowledge of financial statement preparation as well as the ability to use accounting and office softwares
