Vaco Atlanta has just received a brand new Part Time Bookkeeper / Accountant order in Duluth. Smaller family friendly company that's super to its employees and offers a flexible schedule for this part-time role (10-15 hours per week).
As a Bookkeeper, you will compile data, compute fees and charges, and prepare invoices for billing purposes.
Additional responsibilities of the Bookkeeper include:
- Processing invoices from multiple vendors and reconciling purchasing orders to vendor invoices
- Checking figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes
- Debiting, crediting, and totaling accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases using specialized accounting software
- Assist with budget process and investigate budget variances
- Perform required reconciliations
- Review all major general ledger accounts for accuracy
- Assist with Cash Flow calculations and projections
- Accounts payable and receivable support
- Assist Controller with financial stmt preparation
- File Sales/Use Tax Returns and Business Property Tax Returns
- Other duties as needed
Requirements
- An associate's degree in accounting or business administration is preferable.
- 5+ years' experience in bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Working knowledge of OuickBooks is preferred and a high proficiency in Microsoft Excel essential.
- The Bookkeeper should also be proficient in the following skills: analyzing information, dealing with complexity, reporting research results, data entry skills, accounts payable and receivable, month-end close support and journal entries, attention to detail and thoroughness.
