Bookkeeper reponsibilities include:
Experience with the preparation of project accounting, AIA type requisition forms for the billing process in the construction, manufacturing or similar industry environment, is highly preferred
-Reconciliation of the general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
-Process supplier invoices in Accounts Payable in a timely manner
-Lower level HR administrative functions as assigned
-Issue invoices to customers and ensure that receivables are collected promptly and record cash receipts and make bank deposits
-Process payroll for 2 companies in a timely manner
-Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
-Purchase supplies and equipment as authorized by management, monitor office supply levels
-Maintain fixed asset schedule
-discounts on supplier invoices
-collect sales taxes from customers and remit them to the government
-Conduct a monthly reconciliation of bank accounts
-Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy
-Maintain the petty cash fund
-Issue financial statements
-Provide information to the external accountant who creates the company's CPA- reviewed or audited financial statements-Provide ad hoc reports as requested derived from the financial statements
-Maintain the chart of accounts
-Maintain tracking inputs for the annual budget.
-Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements
