Technical Business Analyst
Contract to Hire



Insurance Company located in Shelton, CT is seeking a full time technical Business Analyst.
The Business Analyst has responsibility for the success of project implementations, including transition to customer support as well as overall internal and external client satisfaction. The Business Analyst is responsible for the software development life cycle, including: client requirements gathering, design specifications, testing of client applications, client support, training and systems integration.

  • Support Client Services in ensuring the success factors of each project are met in the areas of change control, issue and risk escalation, and overall client satisfaction
  • Ensure deliverable quality
  • Act as subject matter expert on product knowledge
  • Work with client/implementation teams to understand and document detailed business and functional application requirements
  • Develop detailed functional design for developer, QA and implementation teams to leverage
  • Partner with Dev Lead to monitor development of client applications to ensure adherence to requirement and design specifications
  • Work with QA staff to review test plans and strategies to ensure compliance with specification and quality end results

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Experience leading software implementations
  • Understanding of the software development life cycle
  • External client facing skills (consulting)
  • A BS/BA Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 6-9 years of Business Analyst experience with software integration and/or implementation, preferably with a software services or consulting organization
  • 2+ years of prior product management experience
